Getting ready for autumn

It’s been so busy that the last time I was birding was back in May for just a few days of spring migration. I did finally find the time and opportunity to make a trip to the park to join the fall migration happenings, but just happened to be one day late, and the huge influx of birds left the night before I had a chance to see them. Nevertheless, there were a few stragglers that stayed behind; notable mentions (for me, at least) include:

Black-and-white warbler
Brown thrasher
Common yellowthroat
Eastern phoebe
House wren
Northern flicker
Palm warbler
Red-eyed vireo

I hope to get in more birding soon before first snowfall.
